Yep most of the time the greater guy wins - you still lose your money though if you lost to rng, nobody likes measure below but everybody does it since it makes the struggle piss simple for 20 seconds, especially in the event that you have pid and super especially in the event that you have better ping. Guess you're right concerning the loadouts for the most part since you would both end up in the RS gold exact same equipment anyway - but it does not alter the fact that if this minigame is intended to find out pking - you won't know how to pk anyplace except for the duel arena with those setups, maybe if you find the rare individual in edge pvp worlds into hybrid combat, but still you would not be outlast bridding there. You would not even understand how to bring a gmaul to a combo.
I concur about dds, but that is more for outlast/pure struggles - and the reason I say for pure fights is even for wildy pure struggles, mostly they're on brews and you are able to output much dps (even through prayer occasionally ) that they simply can not out cure it. However, for different builds unless you are in strength bonus you won't be koing individuals with dds unless they don't understand how to consume. In the end you won't end up learning anything more than you could learn in lms because it's also outlast, unless of course you're among the 3 individuals who prefer to hybrid fight in edge pvp.
I get what you are saying but there has not been some mention of how high the entry cost would be and the ELO would affect finding fights. You'd obviously learn as you play and the ELO would help you find players in your ability level, it wouldn't be ideal but it could do the job. I'd see it as a means to see yourself improve in positions and revel in the pvp aspect of Runescape without risking too much. And you wouldn't get stomped on as much because it'd be against a person of OSRS buy gold rank, it would have to get traction for people to try it out. Knowing jagex they'd just do one tweet and add a little part in a skilling blog mentioning it so it would fail by default anyways due to people not understanding about it.
